MENG Kids -/- He 177

Hasegawa Started making their "Egg Plane" series on the 80's and recently they've been making a huge comeback. They are a great distraction and fun change for a simple build that get's a good laugh from people.

Lately a few Chinese companies have been getting on on the fun as well. Hence this new "MENG Kids" He 177 kit. It's not a "Egg Plane" but what's being called a "Cute" plane. And boy have these kits really taken off. MENG released 4 all new kits: B-17G,  Avro Lancaster, He 177 and Tu-2. With a  reported 2 more new kits on the way.

Early releases of the kit were molded in multi-colors. Same as older Matchbox kits, but recently they appear to be molding them in a white styrene. Each of the parts are cleanly molded and really well cast. The fit of everything was absolutely perfect. Strangely the clear parts were thick but still really visible.

As I mentioned everything went together smoothly, no fuss or problems. My only complanint about the model is the lack of decals. Only stickers are provided. Had there been decals this would have been a perfect kit. However if you are still in the market for an interesting build that's simple and fun then give these guy's a go. I'd suggest that you buy 2 however, these kits are quite addictive.

And a thanks to Tim at Model Baron Hobbies, for letting me build this kit for him.
